A Beautiful Start to Our Founder’s Birthday Week at SECHILD

   On October 31st, 2025, we experienced one of those truly heartwarming moments that remind us why community matters so deeply. Dr. S. Belgore, Director of the FCT Health Insurance Scheme, visited the SECHILD Centre to celebrate with us ahead of our Founder’s birthday, and her presence brought joy, encouragement, and love in abundance.

Dr. Belgore arrived with a thoughtful and impactful gift: diapers for our children. This gesture touched us more than words can express. Diapers remain one of the most essential items in our daily care work, and her contribution came at the perfect time as we begin our Founder’s Birthday Diaper Drive.

But beyond the gifts, it was her warmth, humility, and genuine support that made the day truly special. She spent time with the children and caregivers, shared kind words, and offered heartfelt encouragement that strengthened our spirits and affirmed the importance of the work we do for children with special needs.

Her visit set the perfect tone for the celebration ahead, a celebration not just of our Founder’s life, but of compassion, community, and the power of showing up for one another.
