Moments of Connection: SECHILD Hosts Its Monthly Visiting Day

Every last Saturday of the month at SECHILD is special. It is a day filled with emotion, connection, honesty, and the kind of love that brings families closer to the children we care for. On October 25th, 2025, we opened our doors once again for our Monthly Visiting Day, and it turned out to be one of the most meaningful gatherings yet.

Parents arrived with warm smiles, open hearts, and an eagerness to spend time with their children. Some carried gifts, others brought stories from home, but all brought love. The Centre buzzed with excitement, small hands reaching out, familiar voices making the children smile, and caregivers sharing updates on progress, milestones, and moments of growth.

These visiting days matter. They remind us that caregiving is not just a service, it is a partnership, a shared journey of hope for every child.

As part of our transparency and commitment to building trust, we also took time to present to the parents the cost of caring for the children, from daily feeding to diapers, therapies, medical needs, and other essential items. We shared the breakdown clearly so families can better understand the efforts, resources, and sacrifices that go into giving their children the best possible care.

During this session, one parent sincerely remarked, “I didn’t hear you mention the cost of accommodation.”

His comment reminded us of the importance of continuous communication and clarity. It also opened the door for meaningful conversation, a reminder that families are listening, learning, and genuinely invested in understanding what it takes to give their children a dignified, safe home and quality care.

We appreciate every question, every observation, and every moment shared. These interactions strengthen our partnership with parents and reinforce our commitment to transparency, accountability, and love-driven care.

As the day ended, the Centre felt fuller, full of laughter, gratitude, shared understanding, and renewed hope. Moments like these remind us why SECHILD exists:
